This is hindering my ability to produce good demos from songs I’ve otherwise finished. There’s a woeful lack of grooves in 3/4 measure in all the packs I’ve gotten. Think early in flames, Opeth, that sort of stuff.
We play metal, and I write more than my fair share of songs in 3/4. I could write a novel about how much fun this way of working is, but I digress.Įzdrummer is pretty much the perfect solution for this as I don’t know how to build grooves from scratch. They’ll work off of that and add input but either don’t want or aren’t able to build tracks from scratch, so the rest of us who share songwriting responsibilities need to know a bit about other instruments in addition to our own. The way our band works, our bass player and drummer basically want something ready, as in a demo. I’m guessing there’s many people who use ezdrummer.
